Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installation as required.Performs all the administrative and reporting tasks of the position including: - Maintains operating and maintenance history for all equipment as may be required.
- Prepares and maintains documentation such as EAM work orders, service reports and equipment record as required by Linde maintenance procedures and best practices.Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical/millwright duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and modify mechanical equipment and facilities.
- Uses a wide variety of hand, power, and machine tools to perform assignments.
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems requiring the isolation of the malfunction, disassembly of equipment and repair/replacement of bearings, gears, structural components, etc.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and mechanical systems.
- Specific responsibilities include Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, boiler systems, valves, and the ability to perform equipment alignments.
- Plan and execute maintenance tasks, and completion of all follow-up documentation.
- Complete some repairs of mechanical piping systems including threaded and welded pipe systems.
- Complete and document maintenance activities associated with predictive and corrective maintenance activities in a computerized maintenance database.
- Always maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness.
- Required to climb ladders, stairways and operate man-lifts for elevated work.
- Instructs contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintains constant surveillance to always assure compliance.Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years' experience in an industrial production environment
- Ability to interpret equipment drawings required.
- Functional computer skills required.
- On-call ability required, 24/7 operations.
- Willing to support multiple facilities within the Southeast Louisiana area. Opportunities may exist for travel outside the region.Preferred Qualifications:
