Summary: - Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual with experience in CADAM, CATIA, and APT programming, as well as manufacturing methods and procedures.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering material processing technology and be capable of effectively designing manufacturing resources, including Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) numerical controlled (NC) programs, Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) tools/fixtures, loft patterns, and operational models with associated 2D drawings.Responsibilities:
- Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures.
- Develop, create, and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types including MCAD and manual legacy designs.
- Execute creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
- Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.
- Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist.
- Support producibility assessments and train, direct, instruct, and validate Production Engineering work.
- Maintain complete documentation of programs to ensure effective process control.
- Create tooling/material sketches, numerically controlled setup sheets, dimensional charts, and machine operation diagrams.
- Determine the most efficient methods of lofting and fabricating by numerical control methods.
- Schedule several assignments and submit reliable cost/hour estimates.
- Provide programming for numerically controlled production, tooling programs, and Manufacturing Development Projects.Requirements:
- Two years of college or equivalent experience, with preferred courses in Math through Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry, Engineering material processing technology, CADAM, CATIA, and APT programming, and Manufacturing methods and procedures.
- Proficiency in CADAM, CATIA, and APT programming.
- Experience with NC Programming and Flat Pattern design.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:
