The Senior Marketing Events Manager is an experienced and strategic event marketing professional responsible for driving the strategy and tactical execution of all facets of how we showcase Zelis content at Industry and Zelis events. This role will also be responsible for building a comprehensive communications strategy for all revenue generating events, in partnership with our Performance and Content Marketing teams. In this role, the successful candidate will be strategic, data-driven, and understand how to leverage event channels as strategic levers. They will also possess a relationships-oriented mindsight; working directly with Marketing counterparts across segment, product, performance and content to ensure a comprehensive approach to how we showcase Zelis and client success across event channels. The Senior Marketing Events Manager reports to the Director of Events and will work closely with the entire Marketing organization and cross-functionally with other key stakeholders. Responsibilities: - Develop a comprehensive event content and communications strategy (with assistance from Director, Events) for Zelis events and all external industry events
- Lead development of annual Forum theme, and subthemes, ensuring alignment across enterprise and taking into consideration industry trends and Zelis corporate strategy
- Lead Forum selection and content development committees, responsible for establishing the content framework and direction
- Identify keynotes and project manage keynote and other general sessions, including CEO and President sessions
- Project manage selection and development of all Forum content, ensuring we meet deadlines and key deliverables
- Drive Forum communications strategy, including crafting content and sending emails through HubSpot
- Track analytics and adjust as needed
- Support other elements of Zelis Forum as needed, including attendee logistics support, website development with Creative, Cvent speaker management, registration support and more.
- Over time, possess a broad understanding of Zelis' business and products, serving as a dot connector between the event content strategy and business needs
- Strong understanding of how to build and refine event agendas, including timing, resourcing, and technology needs
- Research and propose best practices on event content consumption habits; utilizing data to inform recommendations
- Identify and drive formal and informal submissions for Zelis (and clients) to speak at external industry events; build relationships with event content staff to increase acceptance rate
- Develop toolkits for submissions
- Create pitch best practices
- Work with internal SMEs and business marketing to build submissions/pitches
- Continually research event attendee Comms best practices, including pre, during and post-event communications approaches
- Work with Business Marketing on Test and Learn scenarios
- Leads project management of all event-related content and communications
- Manage, measure, and report on the effectiveness of event content and communications, including key metrics, KPIs, and the establishment of benchmarks What you'll bring to the team:
- Experience building content and Comms (including presentation support) for event-specific channels
- Strong understanding of utilizing events as a strategic channel to promote company brand, products and solutions
- Proficient with MS Office programs and related marketing/ communications technologies - HubSpot and Cvent are not required, but a plus
- Understanding of how events support the full customer journey, including both revenue generation and brand building
- Preferred: Significant experience building event content strategy for medium to large events; experience submitting for event Call for Presentations (CFP) Education + Background:
