As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation of sales proposals for our client's AC and DC industrial Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) products and services. Beginning from concept through product presentation during feed, preparation of proposal, and securing the sales opportunity. The proposal shall aim to provide the most optimal solution to the customer in a timely manner while meeting customer technical specification and commercial requirements. The Pre-Sales Engineer must ensure complete customer satisfaction and establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle with the customer and the sales team. In addition, you will: - Work with the regional sales managers and all company internal stakeholders to prepare a proposal plan that meets the objectives of the proposal budget and timeline.
- Review customer technical and commercial inquiry and bid packages.
- Distribute inquiry documents to others involved in the proposal and estimate preparation as required.
- Obtain assistance from other departments (engineering, contract management, cost mapping and estimating, finance department, project management and customer service) as required to prepare the proposal.
- Prepare initial assessment of the technical, financial, schedule or any other potential risks associated with a proposal.
- Clearly define the scope of work and services offered to the customer and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the customer's inquiry.
- Ensure proposals conform with company solution guidelines and legal and financial requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of approved company vendors, estimating methods as well as project execution procedures.
- Obtain feedback from projects for "lessons learned" to incorporate in future proposals.
