Essential Functions

• Responsible for intake functions for pre-admission, review of admission criteria and admission of patients with medical needs.
• Builds personal and trusting relationships with referral sources and department personnel.
• Maximizes clinical data collection to support the most appropriate MSDRG by utilizing knowledge of admission criteria, DRGs, utilization management and HIM coding. Qualifications
  • Requires good organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Experience in third part reimbursement, DRGs, coding and PPS reimbursement is preferred.
  • Behavioral health experience is preferred.
  • Current state RN, LMFT, LPC or LMSW licensure is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required upon hire.
  • De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
