Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Lead to coordinate and oversee the daily operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner, that the warehouse is organized and safe, and that staff members are supervised and trained.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the daily operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing.
Manage warehouse staff and ensure their tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Monitor warehouse equipment and supplies and order new items when needed.
Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized and that safety protocols are followed.
Train and supervise warehouse staff, including new hires.
Prepare reports concerning activities as required on a daily basis and assure that all reports are complete and accurate.
Ensure employees follow all safety procedures.
Maintain communication at shift change between warehouse leads regarding any situations that may have or may impact production operation.
Position Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Proven leadership experience in a warehouse setting
Basic knowledge of basic math skills
Ability to read, writes and communicate effectively
Demonstrate leadership skills, ability to effectively train, assign and monitor
Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety concepts WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the work environment, plants, or offices. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Lifting requirements are up to 75 lbs. Exposure to loud industrial-type environments is commonly found in plants. Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
