JOB SUMMARY
To coordinate and perform tasks with other Manufacturing staff to fulfill customer requirements, such as mechanical assembly and/or wiring, while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read, use and understand electrical/ mechanical schematic drawings.
- Fits, files, drills, and assembles MPI boxes, panels, or performs a wide variety of diversified and difficult electrical assemblies for the installation to the gears.
- Perform various electrical assembly duties on large utility vehicles by following instructions and utilizing schematics.
- Assembles, in predetermined order, electrical components, terminals and push buttons.
- Cuts, strips, crimp, and mounts wires to connect electrical units.
- Experience reading enclosure/panel fabrication drawings with bill-of-materials.
- Experience wiring electrical panels, instrumentation and devices and point-to-point testing.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. -
- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
- Read and understand visual aid.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to interpret graphs and diagrams.
- Ideal candidates have 1+ years background in mechanical assemblies and electrical wiring.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Individual's primary workstation is located on the manufacturing floor.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate .
