Job Description Back-Up Miller - Jackson, TNADM Milling - Carbohydrate SolutionsThis is a full-time, hourly position.This job works primarily in the corn mill under the supervision of the Mill Superintendent. This is a 12 hour shift position. The back-up miller is expected to learn the functions of all pieces of equipment in the mill. The back-up miller is responsible for the sanitation of the mills and mill areas and product transfers. The back-up Miller will also be trained in our Hominy/Bulk Loading area. A back-up miller is expected to have basic computer skills, record keeping, and written communication skills.Job Responsibilities:Interact regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
Communicate with team/shift employees concerning proper operation of equipment, changes in flow rates or processing capabilities safety concerns, product quality issues and maintenance issues May be trained to operate forkliftsUnderstand and adhere to ADM's Safety, Environmental Compliance and Food Quality and goal of achieving a zero-injury culture. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment Exhibit regular and prompt attendance and maintain attendance record in accordance with company policy Operating equipment associated with the loadout and unloading process for bulk materials including trucks and/or rail cars, forklifts, skid steers, utilizing scales, pumps, conveyor, etc. Other duties as assigned Health, Safety & Environmental:Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety regulations, rules and sound practices.Ensure that unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected.Production:Assists the shift miller in overseeing equipment operations of all three milling units as part of a teamOptimize yields, moistures, capacity and product quality in accordance with budgetary parametersMaintains records in accordance with established ADM policies and proceduresAssists external departmentsProactively seeks and supports the plant goals and vision in accordance with ADM Milling's strategic visionBases all decisions, perform acts and personify self in the best interest of the companyProactively support operational excellence initiatives.Continually train and develop operational team members.
