Job Description This role will be responsible for handling the core accounting responsibilities for the department with and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and the accounting process end to end. This role will also review, analyze, and interpret all financial and budgetary reports. Responsibilities Run daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items involving inventory valuation and plant expenses. Manage and maintain accountability for accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of accounting processes including month-end activities, variance analysis, key inputs, balance sheet reconciliations, etc. of accounts managed by the department. Analyze balance sheet, assets, and expenses accounts to summarize and explain financial and statistical results comparing to budget and prior month amounts. Provide explanations for variances. Demonstrate proficiency in inventory, manufacturing, and accrual accounting procedures. Utilize the available ERP and expert systems to obtain information needed in the research and reconciliation process. Develop/maintain reports to communicate financial and statistical information to management and/or the appropriate functional business group. Develop and maintain updated SOPs to support departmental tasks and processes. Demonstrate proficiency in the tools utilized by the department including Excel, Access, and other office tools. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing client schedules and worksheets as needed. Develop driver-based Budgets for Plant Operations. Other projects as requested by management to support the Finance department. Collaborate closely with onsite teams and participate in onsite meetings to drive departmental objectives. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Accounting/Finance preferred. Bachelor's in business with emphasis in accounting will be considered. Related Experience: 1 - 3 years of Manufacturing experience required. Experience involving supply chain and/or inventory analysis preferred. Fixed assets experience is preferred. Equipment/Software Skills: Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. Advanced user of Excel (pivot tables, filters, look-up formulas) required. Knowledge of IBM and IBM AS400 systems, Access and/or Sequel preferred. Competencies: |
