About our Programs:
The Avera Adolescent Addiction Care Program is designed to be an age-appropriate residential treatment facility. Residents receive a tailor-made recovery program based on their personal needs with a focus on healthy coping skills.
The Avera Behavioral Health Adolescent & Child Units are designed to be a structured and age-appropriate therapeutic environment for adolescents and children to learn to understand problems, use healthy coping skills and set and complete goals.

- Enjoys the ability to work in multiple patient care settings (Addiction Care with cross training to the Child/Adolescent Program)

- This position is cross trained to work in Adolescent Addiction, Adolescent Program and Child Program
- Adolescent Addition is a 8 bed residential program
- Adolescent program is a 40 bed unit
- Child unit is a 14 bed unit

- Student Loan Repayment: This Registered Nurse (RN) position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. Education and/or Experience
- Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- 2 years of RN experience within a hospital setting preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
- Certification in specialty encouraged.
- Membership in a professional organization encouraged. Work Schedule
