LPN - Assisted Living - Part Time, Weekend Days We offer pay starting at--$27.03 hr., additional base pay for experience! At Bishop Gadsden, we believe that relationship is at the heart of caring. You are provided with the tools and resources needed to develop trusting relationships with our residents and deliver excellent care. What We Need From You: - Previous experience in long term care, at least 3 years.
- Excellent clinical assessment and judgement
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to be part of a team with strong communication skills.
- Our team provides residents and family members with the peace of mind that care is available if and when it is needed, even on the weekends.--
A Typical Day: - Interact with staff, residents, families, and physicians to provide optimum care for each resident, demonstrating professionalism and clinical competency
- Observe and document any significant changes in residents' mental or physical condition and communicate to Myers Hall Manager, physician, and family or designee
- Provide leadership and gain confidence of personnel by demonstrating a helpful attitude and assistance with problem solving. Answer phone calls to the Nurse Supervisor phone and respond to calls appropriately.
- Facilitate administration of medications according to established procedures and in a timely manner
- Oversee the accurate administration of medications by Med Techs, through direct supervision and "hands on" guidance and informal teaching
- Perform resident treatments as required
- Review resident medical appointment notes to update the resident's plan of care with physicians' orders, ensure the accuracy of documentation on all resident Medication Administration Records (MARs).
- Follow up on resident appointments, outstanding orders, and lab results as needed.
- Ensure that new medications and refills are ordered in a timely manner.
- Participate in quality assurance and record audits as requested
- Respect rights and privacy of each resident while fulfilling responsibilities for their medication and care.
