Subject Matter Expert (SME) 2 - Infrastructure/Cabling [Accepting resumes from candidates currently living in one of the following states: SC, VA, NC, GA, FL] MANDEX Inccurrently has a need for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) II to join our team in Charleston, SC in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) LAN/WLAN upgrade/refresh projectResponsibilities: Facilitate site survey, kick off site installations and monitor progress throughout as part of the LAN/WLAN Deployment Team Participate in the design and implementation of LAN/WLAN telecommunications cabling distribution systems in DoD medical facilities worldwideAssist Project Engineers and Network Engineers in Design and Closeout Deliverables and DocumentationExperience: Six (6) years of hands-on experience implementing inside and outside cable plant systems supporting LAN and Wireless LAN communications systemsInstallation experience with Aruba and Cisco Wireless Access Points (WAPs) (Preferred)Extensive knowledge and experience of telecommunications cabling distribution systems, firestop products and systems, and bonding and grounding of telecommunications racks, cabinets, and equipmentMust have the ability to work independently or as a member of a teamStrong attention to detail and critical thinking/problem solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedulesKnowledge of OSHA general safety standards and the proper care and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in LAN or Wireless LAN communications infrastructurePhysical requirements: Ability to travel up to 25%Must have a valid passport and be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUSThis position requires ongoing use of a company vehicleSelected candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in accordance with MANDEX policyEducation: RCDD or able to obtain within 6 months of hireTechnical Training in Cable Plant Infrastructure such as Military Electronics Training or graduation from an accredited Electronics Engineering Technology or Electronics Technician programSECURITY Ability to obtain Secret Clearance Required More...
