Our ideal candidates will have 1.5+ years of previous bedside experience, preferably in the Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting and strong focus in patient care. These roles are available immediately, so if you are interested, please apply today!Pay Rate Details:Travel:$1918 Gross Weekly$1162 weekly stipend and M&I$21/hr plus OT (1.5) after 40 hoursLocal:$48/hrJob Details:Start Date ASAP13 weeks available36-hour work week Three (3) 12-hour shiftsDay Shifts AvailableLicensure Credentials Required:Registered Nurse (RN)1.5+ years experienceMust be eligible to work in the United StatesValid Registered Nursing License in SC or Compact LicensureBLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association approved for all unitsACLSResponsibilities:Travel RN follows all hospital guidelines outlining standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality.Based on the Competency Program established for direct care providers, possesses the skills and competencies necessary to perform job function in accordance with population served criteria.JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES/COMPETENCIESLong Term Acute Care Travel RNs (LTAC RNs) provide quality patient care during the patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation process. LTAC RNs collaborate with all members of a patient's healthcare team to formulate a care plan that ensures optimum outcomes and continuity of care. LTAC Travel RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.LTAC RNs are responsible for dispensing medications, chest tubes, ventilators, wound vacs, critical care IV Drips, feeding tubes, and central lines as needed.Provides patient information and status in a timely manner.Participates in the patient rehabilitation program on an assigned unit.Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission. Initiates patient teaching in anticipation of the discharge date.Communicates all pertinent information regarding changes in patients status from one care provider to another, to support continuity of care and patient safety.Provides for and assures personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.Positively contributes to the functioning of the unit by providing calm direction and reassurance to ancillary staff, other departments, patients and families.About Specialty Medical Staffing: Specialty Medical Staffing, LLC is a nationwide medical staffing and recruitment firm that focuses on getting results quickly for our candidates.
