Essential Job Functions -
Install, configure, and secure Server operating systems to include Windows Server 2016 and later, and Linux RedHat. This includes configuring the IP stack, loading tool sets such as DynaTrace/CrowdStrike/Netbackup, and the initial configuration of ACLs. -
Stand up AWS EC2 instances utilizing the OS's listed above. The knowledge to stand up AWS accounts, regions, VPCs is a definite plus. -
Perform patching of all supported operating systems. Familiarity with Ivanti tool set for patching a benefit. -
Migration of server instance between data centers, and between on premise data centers and AWS. -
Run and analyze vulnerability scans (Rapid7). Plan and implement remediation actions for the operating system. Provide guidance to application teams on remediation actions required for their applications. -
Update operating systems as required. Version upgrades, Patching, Apply security fixes. -
Active Directory administration to include creating id, creating groups, developing/deploying GPOs, setting ACLs, resetting passwords etc. -
Reconfigure or update server IP stacks as required by changes in the environment. -
Plan and implement environment wide projects. -
Write and deploy Powershell Scripts to perform remote data collection across large groups (100+) servers. Collate collected data into coherent displays with recommendations for actions where required. -
Be cognizant of and actively enforce corporate security policies on a large environment. -
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. -
Troubleshoot a wide variety of issues to include OS, DNS, Active Directory, and general network connectivity. -
Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards. -
Experience with ServiceNow, Rapid7, Ivanti, NetBackup, and DynaTrace. Basic Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience -
Five+ years of experiencing. At least one year should be with a nationwide or larger company. -
Experience with Windows Server 2016 and newer operating system. To include installation and configuration. -
Experience with RedHat operating system. To include installation and configuration. -
Experience with Rapid7, DynaTrace, Netbackup, and Ivanti. -
Experience performing all aspects of Active Directory configuration and administration. -
Experience with DNS architecture and administration a strong plus.Experience scripting with PowerShell a definite plus. Other Qualifications -
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills. -
Analytical and problem-solving skills for trouble shooting and defining solutions for issues with the interaction of OS, Applications, AD, DNS, and Networking. -
Interpersonal skills to work as part of team. -
