As part of our tooling engineering and manufacturing team, you can help us ensure the integrity and reliability of our most critical products. Our Combat Mission Systems business is currently looking for an Engineering Support Specialist that is dedicated to enhancing manufacturing processes through the planning and development of tooling and rising to the challenge to deliver products that help protect the lives of those who serve.As an Engineering Support Specialist I, you will be responsible for administrative duties such as: - Providing support to managers, engineers, and shop floor employees in the Tooling Department.
- Receiving and processing tool requests in the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) and Tool Management Systems (TMS) databases.
- Submitting requisitions to purchase materials and supplies in ORACLE iProcurement.
- Purchasing and receiving special tooling needed in manufacturing areas requested by Tooling Managers using a company credit card or COUPA.
- Submitting expense reports for credit card purchases.
- Collecting and recording labor and material costs for tooling design and fabrication.
- Interfacing with the Government Properties Department to update and maintain inventory of government-owned assets.
- Providing status updates for in-process tooling fabrications.
- Training and assisting employees with tooling lifecycles and workflows.
- Developing processes and procedures.
- Creating and updating reports for leadership reviews.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- Candidate must be detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Proficient at scheduling and coordinating projects.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
- Ability, confidence and self-motivation to apply talents independently and with good judgment.
- Demonstrate effective time management and ability to work within budgetary expectations.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
