Develop processes for optimizing database security. Set and maintain database standards. Manage database access. Performance tuning of database systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors. Recommend and implement emerging database technologies. Review and monitor system and instance resources to insure continuous database operations. Create automation for repeating database tasks. Be available for on-call support as needed. Review physical structures Review backup & recovery strategies Review, where required, the purge/archive criteria. Monitoring database/subsystem performance issues Review Migration Plans.

10+ years of experience with and knowledge of Oracle 19c/12c and technical database concepts, such as: logical relational data modeling, physical data modeling, tuning large instances, resource management, data replication and backup/recovery techniques 10+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL and experience with Oracle 19c/23c RAC Exadata 10+ years of experience with database and system maintenance procedures 10+ years of experience in administering database security, data recovery, performance monitoring and tuning Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex technical problems and proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL statements
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, computer science, management information systems, or related field Solid background in applications development methodologies: SDLC, Agile Methodology: SCRUM and other IT industry standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpretive skills, as well as the ability to effectively present, negotiate, influence, and build consensus. Experience with Unix shell scripting and knowledge of Cloud concepts and technologies Familiarity with other databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
