Senior AccountantOur well-established client seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to grow with their close-knit team. This role has room for growth and would be a great fit for someone looking to be part of an organization that values the community around them.Responsibilities of the Senior AccountantOversee accounting team ensuring timely and accurate close.Prepare and maintain reports related to financials and job costing.Maintain financial statements ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.Support leadership team in making strategic forecasting/budgeting decisions and mitigating risk.Support year end processes including tax filings.Ad-hoc financial and inventory analysis/reporting.Senior Accountant QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.5 years of progressive accounting experience including prior supervisory responsibility a plus.Manufacturing or construction industry experience preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and financial statement review/analysis processes.Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.Salary: $75k-$85k + Bonus (DOE)BenefitsBenefits are available to eligible full-time employees and include coverage for medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, HSA, FSA, 401k with employer match, education assistance, and an employee assistance program (EAP).About VanderHouwenVanderHouwen is an award-winning, Women-Owned, WBENC certified professional staffing firm.
