VCA Hood View Animal Hospital is looking for a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician!Location: 16317 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015Position Overview:VCA Hood View Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to lead our patient care providers. We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch veterinary care with a personal touch. In our AAHA accredited hospital we are dedicated in providing comprehensive medical services to keep pets healthy and happy. Whether a patient needs a routine check-up, preventative care, surgery/dental, or treatment for an illness or injury, we are here to help.As the Lead Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care and client service. You will lead a team of veterinary technicians and support staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:Directing work flow on the floorCultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital cultureWork cohesively with Hospital Manager and Medical Director to aid in the progression of the hospital.Implement protocols.Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.Venipuncture and IVC placementAdminister SQ fluids, medications, etc.Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.Recognize subtle change in clinical status.Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.Complete estimates, basic record keeping.Surgical preparation and assisting.Anesthesia monitoring.Dentistry and dental radiographs.Requirement: Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state of Oregon or be eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon.Schedule: Full-time opportunity. 4/10s, Mon-Friday with rotating Saturdays. Closed Sunday and Holidays.Compensation: The pay range for this position is $27 - $29 / hour.
