QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or equivalent. Completion of an approved residency in Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in primary care. Experience as a physician leader. Certification/Licensure: - M.D. or D.O.
- Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- License to practice Medicine in the applicable state.
- Membership on the medical staff of a Legacy hospital. Skills: Demonstrated leadership ability. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: LEADERSHIP: Provides overall medical staff leadership, oversight, direction, and support for all programs within the Legacy Clinics.
- Supervises physicians and nurse practitioners at assigned sites including performance reviews of the site directors.
- Meets all performance expectations for clinic productivity in patient care and provides counseling to site director and relevant physicians in achieving goals and targets.
- Provides medical leadership in assigned functional areas, e.g. teaching/academic medicine, professional compensation, quality improvement and clinical technology.
- Ensures implementation of approved programs and policies.
- Promotes Primary Care Renewal at relevant sites.
- Supports and facilitates medical staff and other providers in their respective roles within the Legacy Clinics while helping to ensure activities which are clinically oriented to high quality, cost-effective patient care. ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT:
