As an authorized GM service center, we are currently seeking a highly qualified GM Automotive Technician to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success. Earn up to $49 per hour and over $100,000 per year!

Position Overview:

As a GM Automotive Technician at Ron Tonkin Chevrolet, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing General Motors vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and resolving complex automotive issues, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of automotive professionals and work in a well-equipped and modern facility.

GM Automotive Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on GM vehicles, including engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical components, and more.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and provide accurate cost estimates for repairs.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and repair complex automotive problems.
  • Keep up-to-date with GM training and certifications to stay informed about the latest technologies and repair techniques.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to communicate repair timelines and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols.

    Qualifications

    GM Automotive Technician Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Completion of an accredited automotive technology program (not required).
    • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
    • Valid Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications, with a focus on GM vehicles.
    • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
