The Paramedic is a certified paramedic who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The paramedic functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence. The paramedic performs duties under the direction of a licensed Emergency Physician and utilizes evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service. The Paramedic collaborates with the inter-professional team to provide quality care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory standards.
