Pharmacy Technician Remote Order Entry Through our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals and community based retail pharmacies, providing you an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacy technician to join our remote pharmacy team. - The pharmacy technician is responsible for answering the telephone, handling calls from hospital staff and retail patients, -and assisting pharmacists with order entry operations. - This position requires you to work within our licensed pharmacy and not from your home. Responsibilities:

• Assist Pharmacists and other Technicians with daily tasks
• Handle doctor calls and faxes
• Provide excellent customer service to customers
• Works on projects as requested by Pharmacy Director
• Performs order entry as needed
• Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with medical professionals and customers
• Knowledge and understanding of a retail pharmacy Qualifications:
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting and/or retail pharmacy is preferred
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Must be registered or licensed as required by the State Board of Pharmacy
  • National certification is preferred
  • 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred What is expected of you and others at this level
    • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
    • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
    • Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
    • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
    • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
    • Adheres to all quality guidelines
    • Works under moderate degree of supervision
    • Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
