The role is responsible for providing custom engineered solutions to large industrial, off road, mining, and marine industries to new and existing customers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities All essential functions, duties, and other responsibilities will be performed in support of the Company's Mission, Vision, and Principles to include the following: - 35% travel to customer locations for application review of both new and existing products
- Manage established customers totaling approximately $14 million and more in annual sales
- Responsible for addressing technical questions that arise during new application review of diesel engine power systems for off-highway use
- Questions the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical interface of products to the customer's equipment.
- Gathers the required information to complete a Product Design Specification for the development of new products.
- Works with the Engineering Department during product development to gather required information needed to complete the design engineering process.
- Responsible for all aspects of customer relations including, but not limited to, product presentations, technical training presentations, application review, product interfacing issues/questions, quotation development, quotation presentation, good closing skills, and resolution of warranty issues.
- Works in conjunction with Engineering and New Business Development to review new and existing applications that require additional or advanced engineering or technical knowledge.
- Provides comprehensive forecast by customer and product.
- Participates in Sales and Engineering meetings to update staff on the status of all applications under review.
- Capable of using an ISO quality system to manage customer concerns and initiate corrective action plans.
- Seek and develops new customers and markets for product lines within assigned sales region.
- Responsible for maintaining all product pricing in SAP.
