Health and wellness trends have a significant impact on consumer diets. In the past, the focus was usually on removing negative elements such as salt, sugar and fat. But now, people are more aware of the positive attributes of ingredients, such as nutritional benefits or sustainability.
Consumers are also looking for alternative proteins from a variety of foods and beverages. Proteins perform many functions in the body. As well as helping our body to grow and repair, they are essential for maintaining good health. In recent years, consumers have become more aware that plant-based protein sources offer similar or sometimes superior functional proper-ties to animal-based proteins.
Reporting to a Group Leader, you will work amongst the very best in the world to prepare samples needed for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, and you will be a part of how we stay the world leader in our industry!
- Technical Expert:Create formulas to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development for multiple food/flavor/category types. Demonstrate tasting skills and ability to understand how to adjust the formulations. Evaluate flavoring materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for product creation. Be the technical support advisor to marketing, sales, and customers for ingredient and flavor performance, seasoning profiles and applications.
- Team Collaboration:Accomplish daily customer briefs, manage projects, and provide solutions which meet all defined customer needs and which meet good manufacturing practices, sample scale-up, production requirements, regulatory compliance. Participate in customer sessions - traveling to customers as warranted. Support team in priorities and goals and men-tor seasoning assistants.
- Operational Excellence:Maintain the lab environment following EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines. Participate and learn about teams related to completing customer briefs (sensory, consumer understanding, regulatory, flavor delivery, manufacturing). Provide technical support to resolve seasoning production issues.
