Our client is currently seeking a PROCESS ENGINEER for their manufacturing facility near Cleveland, OH.This job will have the following responsibilities:Plant champion/expert for a new in line process designed.
Own the process and be the plant resource to understand the operation and train all involved in the safe efficient operation of the equipment.Standardize plant operations with the goal of minimizing process yield loss and providing exceptional quality products and services Develop and maintain manufacturing specifications Led effort to identify potential step changes to improve overall operations Train and develop employees to assure operational flexibility and responsiveness, and increase technical knowledge Identify, prioritize, coordinate and monitor process improvements for the plant with waste reduction, throughput improvement, and quality enhancement as prioritiesTake lead for documenting process improvements and new operating directivesManage expenditures related to project assignments Maintain safety, product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of Process difficulties Provide business case for process improvement Obtain and advise estimated scope of proposed projects Ensure that all improvement projects meet Company/OSHA safety requirements including careful attention to management of change process Work closely with division quality group to ensure that all quality policies and procedures are followed Ensure that products leaving the plant meet customer specificationsQualifications & Requirements:BS from an accredited college or University within EngineeringFive years of progressive engineering experience preferredExperience in an continuous operation manufacturing facility AutoCAD skills
Experience in continuous improvement processes (Six Sigma, TPS, Lean) Experience with advanced process controlsAbility to manage several projects and changing prioritiesExposure to manufacturing facilities safety and quality programs Proven ability to plan, organize and execute projects Demonstrated ability to build and achieve results through collaborative relationships Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate findings for operational improvements Demonstrated ability to standardize and document a process Strong computer skills including data collection, analysis, and report writing Strong presentation skills both internally and externallyMust be innovative and adaptable More...
