Description Novant Health is hiring for a Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) registered nurse for the night shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. We're offering up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus as well as $7,500 relocation. Schedule: Schedule: Full-Time, 0.6 FTE, 48 Hours per 2 weeks, Day Shift, Weekends Only/7A-7P. Our unit comprises 16 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio averaging 1 to 3. Given the high acuity trauma cases we handle, our nursing team is closely-knit, offering support and camaraderie both within and outside the workplace. Job Responsibilities: Provide specialized care and monitor patients closely in the STICU. Work with healthcare teams to develop care plans for patients. Manage complex conditions and perform necessary procedures. Respond quickly to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions. Educate patients and families on care and treatment options. Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records. Job Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing. Current valid North Carolina nursing license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. 1 Year of trauma level 1 or 2 ED or ICU experience in an acute hospital setting. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.
