Description Novant Health is hiring a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) registered nurse for the Night Shift at our New Hanover Regional Medical Center location in Wilmington, NC. Job Responsibilities : • Performs nursing assessments to gather data and identify the patient's needs for this episode of care per ANA standards and NCBON. • Develop and implement an individualized nursing care plan with the patient and family that will address the patient's and family's identified needs and concerns. • Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes. • Ensures that patients are admitted, transferred, and discharged in a timely and efficient manner. • Demonstrates leadership by providing information as a resource nurse, mentor coach, and delegator of nursing care activities. • Documents assessments, delivery of care, and patient's response to care in the medical record. • Demonstrates accountability for ongoing learning needs and completion of annual education requirements and competencies. Job Qualifications : • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing. • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. • One-year of acute nursing experience required. > Novant Health is committed to improving the health of its communities, one person at a time.
