Equal installments of $4,000 will be paid after each twelve months of work completed.
Summary:
Provides and teaches diagnostic procedures in the field of radiologic imaging. Maintains knowledge concerning radiation protection and safety in addition to general and electrical safety, infection control, TB and standard precautions. Prepares for and assist the radiologist in completion of intricate radiographic procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations. Performs patient assessments and provides patient care. Evaluates the appropriateness of examination and assess the quality of radiographic images.Responsibilities:Performs rooming and/or intake process, collecting and data, including vital signs, height, weight, and data related to patient's reason for visit. Collects patient and family data, including medical and social history. Reviews patient's current medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy. Assists the provider as directed, during treatments, examinations and procedures. Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy. Administers medications under the direction of a provider. Performs tests, for examples EKG, eye exams, under the direction of a provider. Reviews the patient record to determine whether patient requires any routine health screenings. Ensures exam/procedure room contains appropriate supplies, equipment, forms and educational materials are available and ready for use during visit/procedure. Provides patient with after-visit, follow-up, self-care or procedural instructions and/or educational materials as directed. Prepares, cleans, stocks and maintains exam and treatment rooms. Cleans and sterilizes instruments. Assists with patient registration, check in/check out, appointment scheduling, and scheduling of tests and treatments, and referrals. Answers clinic telephone and assists in-basket under the direction of a provider or nurse. Assists in emergency situations as directed by a provider or nurse. Education Requirements:
* Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program. If degree is not yet complete, candidates may be selected contingent on completing a degree program within 90 days of hire.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. (Registry eligible candidates must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.) Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required.
