Position Summary:Catalent Pharma Solutions is Morrisville, NC is hiring a Analyst I for the Extractables and Leachables group. The laboratory groups at Catalent RTP are responsible for the support of pharmaceutical product development in a range of dosage forms both directly with customers and in collaboration with other Catalent facilities. This includes formulation development, structural chemistry, analytical support, and clinical trials material manufacturing. - Execute wet chemistry techniques (e.g., liquid-liquid extraction) to prepare samples
- Analyze samples via mass spectrometry (headspace, GC, LC)
- May draft technical documents such as methods or certificates of analysis
- Perform parallel review of GMP laboratory documentation
- Train others on laboratory techniques
- Assists in the execution of efficiency improvement project with guidance

- Associates degree is required with 4 years of related experience, Bachelors or Masters degree preferred; relevant experience can be substituted for a higher degree
- Prior experience in a research-oriented or lab based position is preferred
- Ability to learn and retain technical information
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Mathematical and scientific reasoning ability is required
- Basic understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting skills in multiple techniques is strongly preferred
- Ability to identify aberrant/out of spec data and limited interpretation of data expected is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with internal and external customers
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
