The brand's iconic Hot Light lets guests know when doughnuts are being made fresh in shop so they can enjoy hot doughnuts fresh off the line. To make Krispy Kreme's in-shop experience even sweeter, many shops across the globe feature the brands one-of-a-kind doughnut theatre, an immersive, interactive experience through which guests can see Krispy Kreme's melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts being made right before their eyes. Krispy Kreme's Shipping Specialist will work in Krispy Kreme's equipment manufacturing location that produces our doughnut-making equipment. The team members you'll join are experts at packing and shipping parts and equipment to Krispy Kreme locations all around the world. HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Your primary responsibility as a shipping specialist includes fulfilling order requests by picking and shipping equipment and service part orders. You'll use an inventory system, Oracle, to conduct inventory maintenance, receive goods and enter them into Oracle, and finally physically inventory product in the correct location. Additional duties include pressure washing used equipment for refurbishments and providing support where needed to meet deadlines. There might be other duties too, as the world of doughnut making is ever-changing! Being a shipping specialist is an active role that requires you to stand most of the day. You'll also reach, bend, kneel, carry, grasp, lift, climb, twist, walk, and sit. Being able to lift a decent amount of weight is required too, up to 60 pounds. Since you will be working in the Equipment manufacturing location, you will be working alongside sheet metal workers, laser operators and engineers. Of course, there will be Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) available for you to use. Common equipment you'll use are forklifts, counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, pallet-jacks, cherry pickers, and a good ole' fashion ladder orstepstool to locate and pick products. YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS - You have experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing or distribution center environment. A strong attention to detail, along with being able to read product boxes and labels for accuracy is important.
- The Techy Stuff: Computer literacy and knowledge of using Microsoft Office. Experience using an online shipping system, such as FedEx or UPS.
- Equipment and hand tools: Forklift / Reach truck / Walkie-rider experience.
- The Usual Suspects: A high school diploma or equivalent; Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
