TITLE: Computer Lab Assistant

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school and three years of experience in the use of computing and information technology resources. Minimum of 48 semester hours or associate's degree in any discipline. Specific knowledge of the particular software or systems supported may be required.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

All applicants must upload a resume, and a legible copy of a college transcript showing either a degree awarded, or at least 48 college level courses completed to qualify.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures teachers know how to use available software and hardware and ensures equipment is working properly.
• Performs disk back-ups, as required.
• Trains users for full utilization of hardware and software.
• Provides timely resolution of computer problems by providing answers or referral.
• Installs new software, and develops applications for users.
• Evaluates hardware and software and makes purchase recommendations.
• Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing diversity.
• Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Possess hand and finger dexterity for accurate input and output of computer data.
  • Auditory acuity at a level to hear telephone conversations, customer questions and concerns, and supervisor vocalized instructions.
  • Possess visual acuity to read and analyze computer screen, documents and correspondence.
  • Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken word.
    
    Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) when requested, for purposes of driving a school bus. More...
