Position Summary:American Roller Bearing is currently seeking CNC I.D. Grinder for its facility located in Hiddenite, NC working day shift (630a-230p). A successful machine operator values safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Primary responsibilities as a machine operator would include: machine set-up, machine operation, including programming, machine adjustments, part measurement, troubleshooting, problem solving and teamwork. Essential Job Duties:Set-up machine to specified measurements and operate CNC I.D. Grinding machines per instructions and procedures.Load part on back roll; set bottom roll; and adjust cam rolls.Locate jobs/materials on the plant floor and move to machine for grinding.May use a fork truck or hand truck to move materials to and from machine area.Monitors pre-process material conformance.Responsible for quality of product produced, machine set-ups and tooling, and advising supervisor of any quality problems.Responsible for completing production cards, inventory tickets, and other data and/or paperwork as required.Performs routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines.Provides training for new employees working on CNC I.D. grinders.Maintains a clean and orderly work area.Performs duties in a safe manner in accordance with Company safety policies.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.Programming of CNC Allen Bradley controls to perform each operation_______________________________________________________________________Education: - High School Diploma, or GED Skills:
- Excellent basic math skills plus decimals and fractions
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Strong understanding of using OD/ID mics, surface checkers and light machines while running parts and rolls
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to use basic tools, read gauges, micrometers, and blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret programs to determine if modifications are needed Experience:The minimum length of time required to attain quality and quantity standards of assigned work under normal supervision is up to three months. Prior experience reading gauges preferred Physical Demand:
