The Employee Relations Manager will be the go-to resource for our HR partners for employee relations matters, offering guidance on performance improvement, complex employee scenarios, separations and other related matters, while maintaining a fair and consistent approach.Client DetailsAn elite and well known Art Museum is looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join their growing and fast paced Human Resources Department.Description - Work with the HR partners to identify and handle employee relation issues and grievances quickly and sensitively, while exercising solid judgment and discretion, ensuring a collaborative approach with stakeholders
- Work on and lead employee relations projections, implementation and initiatives such as building a ticketing system, procedure updates, and building scalable processes
- Partner with People Team on weekly and monthly trends to recommend training based on investigation findings
- Leads and maintains a thorough and well-documented investigative process by gathering and documenting evidentiary material
- Maintains accurate and thorough records and notes of investigatory process
- Develops professional, comprehensive, unbiased written reports that include a summary of facts and recommended findings
- Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, industry trends, and policies
- Identify, manage, and monitor risks, proposing improvements and strategies
- Collaborate with the Legal and People Team to implement policies and proceduresProfile
- Union experience is required
- Nonprofit experience is a plus but not required
- 4+ years of Employee Relations experience
- Ability to exercise discretion, superior judgment, analytical skills, and neutrality in highly sensitive situations
- Ability to work on complex and confidential issues utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness
- Ability to demonstrate experience and ability in conducting investigations, composing clear, concise, timely and professionally written investigative reports, managing confidential information, and independently and efficiently managing a significant caseload
- Law degree is a plus but is not required Job Offer
