Upstone Materials is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a loader operator, in our Saranac Lake location.Heavy Equipment Operator Main ResponsibilitiesMust be proficient on a front-end loader.Operate power construction equipment, such as: bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, scrapers, motor graders, and shovels.Heavy equipment operators drive heavy construction equipment and control their attachments, such as buckets, swing booms, scrapers and blades.Comprehend specifications and instructions, both verbal and written.Working with heavy-duty machinery requires knowledge of and strict adherence to safety regulations.Repair and replace crusher components such as: conveyor belts, guarding, rollers etc.Heavy Equipment Operator SkillsPrevious experience equipment and/or working in an HMA plant is preferred.Good mechanical skills for equipment repair and fabrication is desirable.Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours based on market demands.MSHA certification is considered a plus.Heavy Equipment Operator EducationHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of one year of experience operating heavy equipment.Heavy Equipment Operator RequirementsClimb onto and down from equipment several times a day.Withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles.Heavy Equipment Operator CompensationStarting New Hire rate starts at $23.95 and will move to $27.06 after the successful completion of the probationary period.Our company is not only an extraordinary place to work, but we also have competitive pay & comprehensive benefits, such as: health, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, AD&D, Teladoc, health advocate, and many more.#HiringatUMICompany InfoUpstone Materials, Inc. is one of the companies that operates within Barrett Industries Corporation, the Colas USA subsidiary that operates primarily in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
