POSITION SUMMARY - The Fiscal Sponsorship Manager reports to the Director of Technical Assistance and senior members of the Technical Assistance Program. They are responsible for managing the Partnerships for Parks' (PfP) fiscal sponsorship program, as well as supporting its grants resources, which build the financial capacity of local grassroots groups to support their neighborhood parks. The Technical Assistance (TA) program offers a suite of capacity-building tools for park partners including grants, workshops, fiscal sponsorship, coaching, design services, and community planning and visioning assistance through the development, testing, and sharing of best practices to support public involvement in parks and green space. - - - COMPENSATION: - $55 - $67,000.00 per year RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead Partnerships for Parks' fiscal sponsorship program, which will provide financial capacity-building, group development, and administrative support to a minimum of 30 long-term community groups and a minimum of 50 grant-only community groups annually
- Coordinate with the TA Director, PfP managers, and broader CPF on resources and programs as needed to ensure cohesive and holistic services, including program relaunch, outreach, and promotion strategies
- Develop and communicate clear and concise fiscal sponsorship administration policies and procedures to applicants and PfP staff, in partnership with CPF departments including Partnership Development, Finance, and Marketing
- Provide community groups and grantees with technical assistance and resources to develop their financial capacity, including financial accounting and budget management support
- Manage day-to-day program operations, including maintaining organized datasets, researching best practices, developing and communicating program policies and procedures with community partners and staff, and conducting program evaluation
- Work in close coordination with other Grants and Resources staff to execute the administration and growth of grants and other funding initiatives -
- Collect and analyze data to measure program impact and effectiveness in collaboration with CPF Data and Strategy Manager and Finance Department
- Lead fiscal sponsorship, grant, and financial literacy trainings and consultations with community groups
- Build relationships with relevant external organizations to identify resources for community groups
- Support PfP initiatives, citywide events, and projects as needed QUALIFICATIONS
- Four years experience in related fields including community development, membership services, nonprofit management, grant-making, grant-writing, accounting, and/or training facilitation
- Detail-oriented and organized project manager who is comfortable dealing with financial, confidential, and sensitive information, and meeting deadlines
- Experience creating and maintaining tracking systems for budget datasets
- Motivated, resourceful, and creative self-starter who is confident working both individually and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse array of stakeholders including community volunteers, agency representatives, elected officials, and funders
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal relationship building, research, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Comfort and facility with Google applications and MS Office software
- Experience with program development, evaluation, and data collection and analysis
- Willingness to occasionally work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Knowledge of New York City boroughs and neighborhoods preferred, ability to travel across the city for meetings, projects, and events required
