JOB DUTIES: Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing animal health activities for dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) monitoring herd health and implementing programs to improve animal health care; (2) evaluating, diagnosing, and treating cows for reproductive health problems; (3) managing reproduction programs, including monitoring cows for heat, performing artificial insemination, and developing heat synchronization protocols; (4) performing pregnancy checks and health treatments on pregnant cows; (5) administering medical treatments and hormones; (6) performing detailed recordkeeping related to herd health and reproduction programs; (7) recommending methods to improve overall animal health, reproduction, and nutrition.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related.
