About This Role

This role will report to the NA Commercial Controller who is looking to transform a large, complex Aftermarket organization with annual revenue in excess of $600M through standardization, scale, and automation. The role has 3-4 direct reports with a total team of 10 supporting the US and Canadian branches. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop knowledge of Hana S4 and support the Transformation Project kicked off Feb-2024 (cross-functional);
  
• Lead the transformation of the accounting process especially in the areas of automation such as Ariba & Concur Interface, labor & material postings, etc.
  
• Participate in the NA FS Users Council where Hana S4 enhancements are triaged, vetted, and decided;
  
• Supervise the month end closing & reporting process;
  
• Review S4 Trial Balance for HFM submission/CFIN and manage all supplemental data;
  
• Review balance sheet fluctuation analysis;
  
• Review financial data (including HFM supplemental data) for Corporate Reporting;
  
• Participate in analysis around significant reserves, Bad debt, EAC, Job Loss provisions etc.
  
• Ensure All financial reporting is in accordance with Carrier Policy & US GAAP;
  
• Provide Accounting support to internal customers (Finance, Sales, Operations, Tax);
  
• Enhance/Maintain accounting standard work documentation;
  
• Participate in all compliance related items which pertain to Accounting operations/financial reporting including GAP Assessments, risks assessments and remediation;
  
• Mentor and develop broader accounting team, focusing team on grouping tasks for process improvement & scale (such as Ariba, Concur, I/C);
  
• Review financial data (including HFM supplemental data) for Corporate Reporting;
  
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
    
  • 8+ years' experience in Financial Accounting
    
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • Prior supervisory experience
      
    • Demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and internal control procedures
      
    • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, ERP Applications, SAP, and HFM
      
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management
      
    • Adaptable/Self starter
      
    • Attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time
      
    • Ability to work cross-functionally to solve business process issues
      
    • Experience with factory and software accounting a plus

      Pay Range:
      $109,456 - $191,938 Annually
