About the role We are seeking a natural leader with a flair for hospitality to join the Savory Hospitality team as a Catering Supervisor at one of our onsite amenity spaces. Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our clientele with a heavy focus on hospitality, service, health and safety standards, and, of course, all things food and beverage. This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our Catering Supervisor: Support the General Manager and catering attendant team in ordering, compliance regulation, client satisfaction, training, and employee motivation Serve as a wealth of knowledge and Savory brand ambassador on all food and beverage offerings to educate guests and team members Embody Savory's core hospitality standards at every turn, externally with our guests and internally with teammates while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism Communicate dynamically, both internally and externally with all levels of both organizations: upper management, associates, clients, and back-of-house culinary team Other duties as assigned to facilitate smooth and efficient daily catering operations What we're looking for At Savory, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Your experience should show us the following: At least 2 years of experience in a food and beverage environment in a supervisor or trainer role Proven ability to anticipate guest needs and multitask Knowledge of Department of Health food safety best practices Quick thinking and conflict resolution skills A warm personality, honest values, and the ability to motivate a team Ability to remain patient and calm in a high-volume environment Job requirements NY Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain within one month of start date Ability to walk and stand throughout entire shift Capable of repeatedly lifting and moving up to 25 lbs In addition to a growth-focused, positive work environment, our talented team enjoys: Competitive hourly rate ($22.00 - $24.00 per hour) commensurate with experience Company-sponsored medical plans, including health, dental, and vision insurance for all full-time employees after 90 days Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and transit enrollment More...
