This role has a current pay rate of $38.33/hr.

Job Summary:
\n
Diagnose, maintenance, and repair problems on the major components and systems such as:
\n

\n
• Diesel Engine \n
• Brake System \n
• Transmission \n
• Air System \n
• Differential \n
• Electrical System \n \n
  Perform, repair, and preventative maintenance work on the following items, both tractor and trailer:
  \n
  \n
  • Brakes \n
  • Cab \n
  • Engine \n
  • Fifth Wheel \n
  • Transmission \n
  • Delivery Equipment \n
  • Suspensions \n
  • AC and Air Systems \n
  • Clutch \n
  • Tires/Axles/Wheels \n \n
    Other Responsibilities:
    \n
    \n
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with major components \n
    • Maintain accurate records of P.M. services and repair work \n
    • Perform occasional road service \n
    • Schedule work through the shop to maintain P.M. schedule, scheduled repair work, and State and Federal vehicle inspections \n
    • Oversee repair work done by outside vendors \n
    • Perform running repairs, P.M. services, State and Federal Inspections Tractors, Trailers, and Straight Trucks \n
    • Working knowledge of the systems and components listed above \n
    • Experience dealing with parts and service vendors \n
    • Maintaining vehicle maintenance records, state inspections and P.M. scheduling \n
    • Must have a HS diploma or GED \n
    • Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (Must agree to obtain within one year of hire date) \n
    • Minimum of three years of experience in heavy truck and trailer maintenance and repair \n \n
