Job Description: Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3) Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 Binghamton University Auxiliary Services enhances the university experience for students, staff, faculty, and alumni with the provision of important services. Auxiliary Services manages the relationships between the campus and partners such as Binghamton University Dining Services (BUDS), which partners with Sodexo to deliver quality meals with superior service to the campus, banking services (Visions Federal Credit Union), the Binghamton Bookstore (Barnes & Noble), the Campus Pre-School, Pouring Rights (Pepsi), vending services, laundry services, Micro Fridge, trademark licensing, the Campus Food Pantry, and BU Acres. Auxiliary Services also oversees the Binghamton Auxiliary Services Corporation (BASC), a non-profit corporation created to ensure superior services and enhance revenue generating opportunities for campus. An affiliate of BASC (BASC Mill Street, LLC) has assumed management of the newly acquired Lane-Starke Tennis Center, the official year-round home of the Binghamton University Bearcats Division I varsity tennis teams, and remains open to the public, offering contracts, memberships, tournaments, clinics, lessons and more. Most recently BASC has also engaged in the development of an off-campus cold production commissary operation to support our dining services and catering operations. Auxiliary Services is expanding our team and looking for someone motivated by growth, who can readily adapt to change, is open to innovation and who can work both independently and collaboratively with multiple campus departments and partners. Responsibilities: - Responsible for management of financial records for all areas under Auxiliary Services and BASC
- Work closely with the Auxiliary staff to monitor budgets, review revenue and expenditures, and analyze fiscal performance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Assist with strategic financial planning
- Supervise all purchasing processes, travel, and reimbursements to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
- Assists with all processes relating to revenue collection including cash handling and deposit procedures and PCI compliance
- Manage account receivables and invoicing procedures
- Assist with annual audit preparation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Occasional evenings/weekends may be required Requirements:
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position - Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, management or related field
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience
- Exceptional computer skills with a strong proficiency in Excel
