About the Position:

• Full-time clinical education specialist RN position with UNM Hospitals.
• Participation in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) with opportunities for increasing compensation based on education and national certifications.
• Weekday nights have a 17% differential, weekend nights have a 26% differential, and weekend day shifts have a 15% differential.
• Cell phones and smart devices not allowed on persons at the job site, unless there is a documented medical condition. Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop patient care plans based on national standards and research.
  • Facilitate evidenced-based research and learning in specialized areas of nursing.
  • Provide educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within clinical protocols.
  • Instruct and precept nursing students from the College of Nursing.
  • Deliver specialized direct patient care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. Position Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree, BSN or MSN in nursing, or related field required.
    • RN license in New Mexico or allowed by reciprocal agreement.
    • CPR certification required, instructor certification preferred.
    • 18 months of directly related experience required; 3 years preferred.
