Plant Financial Analyst - East Hanover New Jersey

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Plant Financial Analyst for their operations in the East Hanover NJ area. This will be a direct hire full time position with a large multinational Chemicals manufacturer. This position will report directly to the plant manager and he would like someone who has experience in manufacturing.This job will have the following responsibilities:
Monitor, report, and analyze plant manufacturing costs, production variances (volume, process orders, and spend variances), production volumes and the monthly closing process and progressBuild on new reporting / analysis tools and reports utilizing the recent upgrade to SAP L4POversee plant budget process, including cost planning and standard costs, updating Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Headcount planningSupport communications with plant manufacturing team and Business Unit (BU) controlling on all financial topics including ad hoc analysis and project supportChampion review of COGs and lead review and updates of BOMs with manufacturingAnalyze financial performance monthly including identifying spending trends, opportunities, and threats to financial performanceReview raw material and finished goods variances including substitution and usage variance
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree5 to 10 years of experience in finance and accountingPrior experience working in a manufacturing plantChemicals Manufacturing experience is preferredFamiliar with safety guidelines and procedures for manufacturing industryStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to act as a coach, trainer, and advisor at all levelsExcellent computer knowledge and skills, including SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) More...
