The Fitness Specialist will assess, monitor, and develop individual fitness programs for residents.How you will make an impact:

• Instructing fitness classes for senior population with varying abilities.
• Performing fitness orientations for residents.
• Provide one on one personal training sessions, motivation, and consulting.
• Promoting and assisting in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and physical independence for older adult population. -
• Maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for residents throughout the three fitness centers and aquatics center.
• Assisting with coordination and implementation of wellness/fitness programming.
• Prescribing an appropriate exercise program, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training with the ability to work with high risk population.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with facility operations.
• Building strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.What we offer:

    • Associate's degree in Health Education or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
    • Experience in evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
