Job Details Job Location Boswell Engineering NJ - South Hackensack, NJ Job Category Engineering The Project Manager will be assigned to the Municipal Department and will report to directly to the Vice President of Municipal Services. The Project Manager will be given the necessary resources and staff to complete assignments. Responsibilities: - Attend meetings of the municipal governing body and other municipal officials as required
- Familiarization with the Municipal Code of various municipalities for the purpose of reviewing and evaluating Municipal Development Applications
- Attend meetings of Land Use Boards and prepare reports as required
- Interact with clients as well as various departments within the company
- Knowledge of applicable local, county, and state stormwater management and soil erosion control standards
- Analyze engineering sketches, drawings, specifications, plans, and related data to perform necessary reviews
- Coordinate activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and construction issues
- Review project shop drawings
- Attend project meetings with clients
- Prepare monthly status reports for review by the clients
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, establish project budgets and construction cost estimates, and monitor daily progress through project close, and projects from beginning to end
- Complete assignments on schedule and within budget
- Engage in marketing related to maintaining existing clients as well as pursuing new opportunities
- Ensure timely billing and assist with the collection of accounts receivable
- Adhere to all company and client standards, policies, and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a four-year accredited college/university
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New Jersey
- At least 5 years of related municipal engineering experience
- Certified Municipal Engineer preferred
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
