Summary of Need:

• Evaluating patients' medical histories to ensure the various medical imaging procedures will not harm them.
  
• Suggesting alternative medical imaging techniques, when necessary.
  
• Informing patients about the medical imaging process.
  
• Using devices such as computer tomography (CT) scanners and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines.
  
• Performing or directing radiology staff to carry out image-guided, diagnostic procedures.
  
• Working with radiology lab technicians to perfect image quality.
  
• Interpreting the results from diagnostic imaging procedures to determine diagnoses.
  
• Communicating and discussing results and diagnoses with physicians.
  
• Compiling written reports of results and diagnoses.
  
• Following medical protocols for resuscitation, bleeding, infection, or other emergency situations, when necessary.

  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required...
  On Call: 2-3 days a week...
  On Call ONLY: RNs assist with PICC but not insert, PA's insert PICC's. (Primary team is RN 1&2, 3rd RN is for stroke backup.)...
  Skills with specialty equipment (ie. EKOS +, A-line and procedural wedge pressures), medication management (moderate sedation, vasoactive drips), and ventilator management required...
  Interventional Radiology covering acute stroke and trauma interventions...
  Primary RN, Scrub and circulation responsibility within the procedural rooms. Additionally cover portable Midline team for midline insertion housewide...
  
  Conscious sedation recovery here, but the rest go to PACU...

  Block/special scheduling cannot be accommodated unless approved at time of booking; ...
  
  All RTO and scheduling requests MUST be included with submission, in the event that the traveler calls out during their assignment they will be required to make up the shift on an alternate day that week. Weekend call outs will result in alternate weekends being scheduled to make up the shift. If there is > 3 call outs the traveler will be requested to add that time onto the end of their contract....
