Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Digital/RF Technician to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within an Engineering Lab.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Ability to easily work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment: conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks: makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Familiar with setup, calibration, and use of Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer, and/or Power Meters.
- Familiar with work related database tracking applications
- Collaborate with all functional groups on various projects.
- Maintain accurate records and explain defects found-clearly and concisely.
- Has demonstrated successfully the ability to maintain an engineering test lab in which they work that is 100% compliant to the company's lab operational policies and procedures.
- Must be willing to work off shifts as required by the needs of the business.
- Must be willing to travel for field tests in support of the project.
- Individual who has initiative, motivation and desire to learn and grow. Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship.Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must be a US citizen
- Associates Degree in EET or equivalent and 5+ years of directly related experience
- Electronics certification from a civilian or military technical school
- Possess a current Secret Clearance or able to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Strong desktop application/GUI knowledge (Putty, Hyper, SSH, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Windows based programs
- Understands all aspects of lab safety, ESD principles and day to day lab operations necessary to support program and to ensure 100% compliance to company lab policies / procedures.
- Ability to multi-task technical program support with maintaining the lab to 100% compliance to lab services policies/procedures.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
