Homeless Liaison- Part Time

The Merrimack School District is hiring a part-time Homeless Liaison. The Homeless Liaison will be responsible for coordinating with local social services agencies that provide services to homeless children and youths and their families, other school districts on issues of transportation and records transfers, and state and local housing agencies responsible for comprehensive housing affordability strategies. The Liaison will also review and make recommendations related to District policies and procedures that may act as barriers to the enrollment of homeless students.

This is a part time position, and hours may range from 5-20 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Education, Human Services or related field
• Experience working within a public school environment preferred
• Experience with assisting families and addressing school issues
• No certification is required
