At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a CMA/RMA to join our team. -


The primary responsibility of the CMA/RMA is:

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner, demonstrating competency within VRH defined scope of practice for CMA/RMA.
  
• Maintains clinical competency in all patient care duties, including, but not limited to performance of point of care testing, , vital signs, injections, simple diagnostic testing, specimen collection, etc. - -
  
• Competent in managing patient flow and rooming patients, medical and surgical asepsis & infection control techniques, and positioning and prepping patients for procedures.
  
• Answers telephone calls as needed in response to patient/client inquiries. - Refer patients to other staff as appropriate.
  
• Interacts professionally and appropriately with patients/clients, families, and colleagues at all levels within the organization.

  Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:
  
  
  
  
  • High School Diploma or GED required
    
  • Registered Medical assistant or AAMA certified medical assistant
    
  • Exhibits professionalism at all times, understands appropriate workplace behavior/communications.
