Overview: Assists the physician and office staff with selected duties to include clerical processing, patient preparation, scheduling, lab, x-ray and medical records. As directed, performs patient care activities consistent with the established standards of clinical practice. - Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Preferred Experience:Must have 2 years work experience as a Medical Assistant. Experience credit may be given for relevant healthcare experience with approved exception.
- Certification/Registration:Medical Assistant certification from one of the Mercy approved certifying bodies preferred. Obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
