Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking multiple Software Engineers to join the GVHMS Framework Software Engineering team located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization.Boeing's GVHMS Framework Software Engineering team is looking for two engineers to work in a collaborative team environment to develop and implement software features in support of embedded Health Management. - This includes developing through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). - The successful candidates will develop software in a CI/CD build pipeline using Agile methodology focused on code quality, security, and automation.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level and Senior Software Engineers.We work in a casual but professional environment with multi-disciplined teams of engineers that take pride in developing, integrating, testing and delivering innovative solutions. There is long-term potential for career growth into technical leadership or management positions, and we value the curiosity, tenacity and imagination our engineers bring to our teams every single day.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities: - Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Performs software project management and software supplier management functions
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics. Executes and documents software research and development projects
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
- Works under general directionSecurity Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. - An interim and/or final US Security Clearance Post-Start is required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. This position requires the ability to obtain program access, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship only.To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. - Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. - Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years' experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOpsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with embedded software and/or RTOS
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently but also lead and guide smaller teams of less experienced software engineers.
- Experience working on an Agile team in a collaborative environment.
- Experience leading a team.
